We are now taking submissions through May 25th for our second issue!

Send us poems that break open the subject to reveal value—that break open the reader to reveal value. We seek understanding of things big and small. Poetry that grows, because all thriving things should grow. We want poetry unafraid of facing the truth and unashamed of having hope.

Send us no more than 4 poems, and put each poem on a separate page. On the first page, include your name, email, and a brief third person bio. Please attach submissions as a .doc, .docx, or PDF file. Please single space poems in Times New Roman font.

Dirty Paws Poetry Review does not accept previously published work. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify us immediately if a poem is accepted elsewhere (and congrats!)

Send your submission to dirtypawspoetry@gmail.com, or use the form below.  Query us regarding your submission if you have not heard back within 3 months.

In addition to being an open submission, issue 2 will also feature a portfolio on Women of the South. If you’d like to be considered for the special feature, please follow the regular guidelines and include “Women of the South” in the subject of your email.

Dirty Paws Poetry Review claims first serial/electronic rights. If a work is published subsequently—online or in print—credit to Dirty Paws Poetry Review is to be given.
